Prohibited Campaigns & Restricted Fundraising
Nativa Alliance Community Action supports lawful fundraising for individuals, families, organizations, community programs, projects, emergencies, and other eligible causes.
To help protect donors, campaign organizers, beneficiaries, and the platform, certain campaigns and activities are not permitted.
Prohibited Campaigns
Campaigns may not be created for:
Fraudulent or deceptive purposes
False emergencies or fabricated needs
Illegal goods, services, or activities
Money laundering or financial fraud
Identity theft or impersonation
Stolen property
Unauthorized financial schemes
Threats, harassment, or intimidation
Hate-based fundraising or targeted abuse
Exploitation of children or vulnerable individuals
Human trafficking or exploitation
Terrorism or violent extremist activity
Illegal drugs or controlled substances
Weapons or other prohibited items
Gambling or unlawful betting activity
Bribery, kickbacks, or unlawful payments
Any activity prohibited by applicable law or the payment-processing provider
Misleading Campaigns
Campaign organizers may not intentionally misrepresent:
Who will receive the funds
Why money is being raised
The organizer’s relationship to the beneficiary
The amount of money needed
How donations will be used
Events or circumstances described in the campaign
Campaigns found to contain materially false or misleading information may be suspended or removed.
Personal and Private Information
Campaign organizers should not publish another person’s sensitive personal information without permission.
This may include:
Financial account information
Government identification numbers
Private medical documents
Home addresses
Private phone numbers
Confidential records
Information concerning minors that should not be publicly disclosed
Fundraising for Minors
Campaigns benefiting minors should be created or managed by a parent, legal guardian, authorized representative, or other appropriate adult when required.
Nativa Alliance Community Action may request additional information concerning the organizer’s relationship to the minor.
Political and Community Campaigns
Campaigns involving political, civic, advocacy, or community activity must comply with applicable laws, campaign-finance requirements, platform policies, and payment-processing restrictions.
Nativa Alliance Community Action may request additional information before approving certain fundraising activity.
Business Fundraising
Eligible businesses and entrepreneurs may use the platform for permitted fundraising purposes.
Campaign descriptions must clearly explain the purpose of the fundraiser and must not misrepresent donations as investments, guaranteed returns, ownership interests, or financial products unless specifically permitted by law and the platform.
Investment and Financial Returns
Unless expressly authorized by Nativa Alliance Community Action, campaigns may not promise donors:
Guaranteed investment returns
Ownership interests
Equity
Interest payments
Profit sharing
Guaranteed repayment
A donation is not automatically an investment or loan.
Fundraising for Legal Matters
Campaigns may be permitted to raise funds for lawful legal expenses, attorney fees, court costs, or related needs.
Campaigns may not be used to encourage illegal conduct, interfere with the administration of justice, threaten witnesses, or finance unlawful activity.
Campaign Review
Nativa Alliance Community Action may review a campaign when:
A complaint is received
Information appears inconsistent
Additional verification is required
The payment processor requests review
Transactions appear unusual
The campaign may violate platform policies
During a review, certain campaign features or payouts may be temporarily restricted.
Removal or Suspension
Nativa Alliance Community Action may suspend, restrict, or remove campaigns that violate platform policies or applicable law.
Serious violations may also result in account restrictions.
Reporting a Campaign
If you believe a campaign violates these rules, you may report it to Nativa Alliance Community Action for review.
Please provide as much relevant information as possible so the concern can be properly evaluated.
