Campaign Organizer Responsibilities
Campaign organizers using Nativa Alliance Community Action are responsible for creating accurate campaigns, communicating honestly with supporters, and using funds for the purpose described in the fundraiser.
Provide Accurate Information
Campaign organizers must provide truthful and complete information about the fundraiser.
This includes:
The purpose of the campaign
Who will benefit from the funds
The organizer’s relationship to the beneficiary
The intended use of donations
The fundraising goal
Any important circumstances related to the campaign
Campaign information must not be false, misleading, deceptive, or intentionally incomplete.
Use Funds as Described
Funds raised through a campaign should be used for the purpose stated in the campaign description.
If circumstances change and the funds need to be used differently, the organizer should clearly explain the change to supporters.
Keep Campaign Information Updated
Organizers are encouraged to update their campaign when there are important changes.
Updates may include:
Progress toward the fundraising goal
Changes in circumstances
How funds are being used
Important milestones
Changes involving the beneficiary
Protect Account Information
Campaign organizers are responsible for keeping their account information secure.
Do not share:
Passwords
Verification codes
Banking credentials
Private account access information
Report suspected unauthorized account access as soon as possible.
Provide Correct Payout Information
Organizers are responsible for providing accurate payout and banking information.
Incorrect information may delay or prevent funds from being transferred.
Complete Required Verification
Nativa Alliance Community Action or its payment-processing provider may require identity, banking, or other verification before funds can be released.
Campaign organizers are responsible for completing requested verification.
Respond to Questions or Concerns
Organizers should respond appropriately when supporters or Nativa Alliance Community Action request clarification about a campaign.
Failure to provide requested information may result in a campaign review or delay in payouts.
Follow Platform Rules
All campaign organizers must follow Nativa Alliance Community Action policies, disclosures, fundraising rules, and applicable laws.
Campaigns involving prohibited, fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity may be suspended or removed.
Refunds, Disputes, and Chargebacks
Campaign organizers understand that refunds, payment reversals, and chargebacks may reduce the campaign balance.
If funds have already been withdrawn, the organizer may remain responsible for amounts associated with valid reversals or disputes.
Taxes and Reporting
Campaign organizers are responsible for determining whether funds received through a campaign create any personal, business, charitable, or tax-reporting obligations.
Nativa Alliance Community Action does not determine an organizer’s individual tax liability.
Promotional Services
If an organizer purchases optional campaign promotion, the organizer is responsible for ensuring that the campaign remains eligible for promotion during the promotional period.
Promotional placement does not guarantee donations or fundraising results.
Organizer Accountability
By creating a campaign through Nativa Alliance Community Action, the organizer accepts responsibility for the accuracy of the campaign, the proper use of funds, and compliance with applicable platform policies.
